Infectious diseases include lower respiratory infections, HIV/AIDS, diarrheal diseases, tuberculosis, malaria and measles, which are caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. The physicians provide consultations and treatments of nosocomial infections and other communicable diseases that disrupt a vital body process or stimulate the immune system to mount a defensive reaction. An immune response can include a high fever, inflammation, and other damaging symptoms.
