Monthly Sleep Tip - March 2008

According to the National Sleep Foundation's 2001 "Sleep in America" poll, nearly seven out of 10 Americans experience frequent sleep problems, although most have not been diagnosed.

Many people live with the disruption of snoring, fragmented sleep and excessive daytime sleepiness. They may not realize the serious implications or tha t they need to ask their physician for help.

Therefore, as part of a routine physical, it could be very helpful and productive to your patients to ask them two very important questions:

  1. Do you snore?
  2. Do you suffer from excessive daytime sleepiness?
