Background

Jen joined us September 1st, 2010. She was raised in Mapleton Utah and went to Utah State University for her undergraduate degree in Economic Anthropology. This field of study took her to such countries as India, Nepal and Peru studying women’s issues in international economic development. After some time abroad she started focusing on serving women near home. She received my training as a registered nurse and then a master’s degree as a nurse midwife from Yale University. She believes in empowering women to make informed decisions about their own health and in an integrated and family centered approach to the care of women.

She married to her favorite fishing partner. This union also gave them a daughter, Ava, age 5. They love the outdoors and spend as much time as possible exploring the nooks and crannies of Utah’s diverse landscape.
